About "hoshikage works"
“hoshikage”とは、星影、星の光。共に生きてきた晶という漢字にも、”星が集まってより輝きを増す”という意味が込められています。
どんな星も一つとして同じものはなく、それぞれがそれぞれの光りを持っていて。
私の手から生まれたhoshikageが、誰かの手の中でまた輝いてほしい。そんな願いを込めて。
hoshikage worksのアクセサリーに使われている”漆”とは、日本古来より用いられてきた天然の塗料です。塗ることで、独特の温かみのある艶を生み出します。そして、樹液から生成された漆は、木製品との相性がとても良いのです。
hoshikage worksのアクセサリーは全て木で作られており、木地作りから仕上げまで手作業で制作しています。その瞬間瞬間を描く絵のように、一つとして同じ形、図柄のものはありません。
手にした人にささやかな彩りを楽しんでもらいたい。そんな思いで日々制作しております。
Hoshikage means starlight in Japanese. As my first name has a kanji that means stars get together to shine brighter.
Each star is one and only, and has its own color and brilliance.
I hope each of my “Hoshikage works” would brighten in someone's hand.
"Urushi" is a traditional natural lacquer in Japan made from tree sap, which matches well with wood products. By painting it, wood products become warmly burnished.
My accessories are all made of wood and fully handmade. So nothing has the same shape and design, namely, one and only.
